My girl is a beauty queen!

Finally had something to drag me out of my non-posting lethargy. My youngest Flat-Coated Retriever Kaylee showed yesterday and today in Crosby Texas. She took Winners Bitch and Best Opposite both days for 2 3-point majors. That brings her to 3 majors and 11 points. Many judges look askance at liver Flatties; they're used to only seeing black FCRs, and penalize the livers even though it's accepted in the breed standard. Only 4 points to go before she becomes an AKC breed champion!

I had nothing to do with it other than paying the entry fees. Since my 2005 stroke I can't move well enough to gait anything faster than a Pekingnese. I just handed her over to her breeder and the breeder's friend. They took turns handling her and a few other dogs. I'll be in the obedience ring with her next weekend, though.
