Hi! Long time no post!

And again I'm talking dogs. In March 2015 a good friend from grade school looked me up on Facebook and saw me whining that I needed a power wheelchair and couldn't afford one. Medicare/Insurance says if I can hobble around my tiny house I don't need a chair. I can walk 20-30 steps and stand for a couple of minutes, so I don't qualify. The grade school friend had her dad's power chair sitting in her garage since his death and she offered it to me. She lives in Georgia; I'm in Houston. Biloxi MS is about 400 miles from each of us so she drove west, I drove east, and we met there. She and her husband got it into my van, and we headed back home.

I now run Kaylee in flyball tournaments myself (she earned her Flyball Master Champion last month) and Candy is starting her Obedience career with me beside her. Kaylee is being resistant to advanced obedience, but I'm still working with her. If I did it right, a picture of Kaylee and I in the flyball lane follows. It was taken the day after we got her FMCH.

I'm so glad to hear that you got your power chair, especially through an old personal connection. Kaylee looks like a go-getter.

Wonderful! I'm glad that you have the chair, and cheers for your dog!

Hello! Good to see you. And that is awesome about your chair - we have the same issues over here in the UK; very strict rules which make no sense at all.

And awesome photo. <3

I told them I needed the chair to walk my dogs - and they said I didn't need to have dogs. I said I needed it to attend events that required a lot of walking and they said I didn't need to go to those things. So I'm supposed tp br alone and trapped in my house, I guess. I'm so glad Dorothy decided to look up someone she hadn't see since the 70s!

You can see how eager Kaylee is to go - and this was taken on the 4th day of a show! She ran agility on Thursday and flyball Friday thru Sunday, on 2 teams no less! She was really tired when this shot was taken, but she is a maniac in the flyball lane.

Sadly this sounds all too familiar from what I have read about regulations and guidelines that are in place in this country too. :( So happy that you got help from elsewhere.

And Kaylee is utterly gorgeous.

Thanks for complimenting my girl. She's very sweet and very silly, but she turns into a crazed maniac when she sees a flyball lane.
